Using the "look" of old film to denote a historicity,
the artist constructs an imperiled landscape which
resonates like a ghostly dream. The works explore
the poetics of the "natural" as an idea that
obscures the sublimation of its effects.

STONES (2000) : These edifices were erected as a reverent memorial to a lost harmony, the agrarian movement having disconnected human culture from an innate relation to and survival within natural streams.

TALE (2001)is an allegory of the creation of a marketplace for nature's products, and the consequence of that enterprise to the image of the pastoral that acts as a cover for it.

CYCLE (2002) concludes that from within the imposed order there lies a
predatory impulse, which is revealed upon the destruction
of that order. But, once revealed, it is replaced by the urge of the
"natural" to replenish the earth, and overtake any remnants of a
history dedicated to the by-play of cultural competition.

All works created in Final Cut Pro, Adobe AfterEffects, Macromedia Flash.
